Murray State offers an undergraduate certificate in Working With Diverse Student Populations.
Earn your undergraduate certificate and make a meaningful impact in the classroom. This program and courses provide you with the opportunity to increase your background knowledge, enhance pedagogy and develop innovative teaching strategies and appropriate differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a wide-range of students.
The certificate is awarded by the College of Education and Human Services Early Childhood and Elementary Education Department.
* Please note the certificate does not qualify for additional state licensure.
Courses - 12 credit certificate
Choose four courses from a variety of departments and offerings to complete your certificate. Options include courses in education, english, criminal justice, communication disorders, TESOL, and more.
*A grade of C or above is required in all courses to receive the departmental certificate. Course selections must include at least three different course prefixes.
Study Abroad
All study abroad program courses count toward earning the certificate.
Study abroad programs offer the opportunity to take classes and participate in experiences
in another country, which can provide diverse opportunities and broaden a students’
