This unique and wildly theatrical musical combines haunting music and poetic storytelling to chronicle the fascinating life of iconic American writer Edgar Allan Poe. A literary rock star of his day, Poe struggles with tragedy and addiction, poverty and loss, yet produces some of the world’s most original, visionary and enduring literature before dying in unexplained circumstances at the age of 40. At once gorgeous and grotesque, Nevermore explores the events that shape Poe’s character and career, blurring the line between fact and fiction – after all, as Poe himself writes, “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”

Ja’nae Puckett said: “One of the most intriguing parts about playing The Raven is that it isn’t just about stepping into the shoes of a well known symbolic bird. It is about really channeling the intrinsic nature of Poe’s struggles, allowing his pain and mystery to resonate in a way that was both haunting and, in a strange way, deeply empathetic. I think this is a show that will connect with audience members in a very real way!”

Karley Yahl said: “Being a part of Nevermore has been an amazing opportunity for me. It has expanded my knowledge of dance and movement, but most importantly, I am so proud to be a part of portraying the message of the show: live your life without fear of death, and to never give up hope.”
